If you’re looking for a quiet, more authentic, local farmer family experience, I would go to Ball’s Berry and Produce. About 20 minutes from the belt line, this little gem at the side of Rock Station Road does not look very promising at first. But step inside, have a chat, go pick some berries, come back and chat some more.

This is a nice small family farm, certainly not comparable to the amenities offered by Porter Farms. This is farm first, tourist destination second, and that is exactly what I like about it.

They also sell produce year-round (I got some zucchini squash), and they don’t have a website.
